Dataforth engineering has created the configurable SCM5B48-01 Accelerometer Module
. Maintaining the small, solidly potted form-factor, the "5B48" allows you to select AC or DC coupling, excitation current, signal gain, and high-pass filter and low-pass cutoff frequencies through a set of miniature slide switches that are designed into the bottom of the module!
The SCM5B48 provides excitation to piezoelectric (accelerometer) sensors with built-in microelectronic amplifiers, commonly known as ICP, IEPE or LIVM sensors. The module provides a constant current excitation to the sensor, then isolates, filters, and amplifies the sensor output, yielding a high-level analog voltage output.
