Responsibilities
  • Software development for Data Acquisition and Control products and IoT devices
  • Development of modern solutions for Data Logging, Factory Automation, and SCADA
  • Utilize technological advances to develop optimal solutions for Test & Measurement
  • Product design involvement from inception through volume production
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum BSCE, BSCS
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, GUI development, HTML, Node.js, Python
  • Proficiency in software development and software engineering concepts and principles
  • Fluent in coding practices, code documentation, and version control
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years experience in software design and development
  • Advanced engineering degree, MSCE, MSCS
  • Experience with system application development and debugging
  • Knowledge and experience in embedded programming and embedded systems

Job Description
Dataforth Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer (Product Definer) to join our Sales & Marketing team. Product Definer and Systems Engineers possess detailed knowledge of the company products and customer applications in order to provide essential support to customers worldwide, identify new product needs, and create new product definitions. This role will report to the Sales & Marketing manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Developing a deep understanding of the signal conditioning and data acquisition market
  • Research new product ideas and create new product definitions, including developing business case proposals and product strategies
  • Analyze key applications in various industries such as but not limited to automotive, aerospace, industrial, consumer and computing spaces to identify future trends, identifying opportunities for improving performance, and adding value to these applications
  • Assess and negotiate development tradeoffs with design team and customers
  • Build relationships with customers & sales channel teams by closely interacting with them to identify and solve customer problems with Dataforth solutions
  • Support and train sales organizations on new & existing products
  • Relentlessly drive new design wins for new and existing products
  • Bring quick solutions to customer problems by interfacing across different functional groups such as application support, design, production, test, marketing and sales
  • Assist with generating the revenue plan for the organization
  • Create technical literature such as but not limited to datasheets, application notes, user's guides, etc.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of sensors, signal conditioning, and data acquisition applications
  • Experience promoting/marketing electronic components and driving design wins
  • Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with lab equipment

  • Strong understanding of sensors, signal conditioning, and data acquisition systems
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in translating customer requirements into new product ideas

Manufacturing Test Technician

Dataforth is a worldwide leader in Instrument Class Industrial Electronics. We design and manufacture Data Acquisition and Process Control products in Tucson, Arizona. Join our staff as a Manufacturing Test Technician and become an essential part of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production test heads, wiring harnesses, and systems
  • Read legacy test software source code and identify points of failure
  • Verify product test and test equipment failures through bench testing
  • Diagnose product test and test equipment failures and specify required fixes
  • Consult with Engineering when needed and work with guidance provided
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Analog and digital circuit concepts
  • Proficient with circuit schematics and pcb layout hard copy and electronic files
  • Component level troubleshooting of products and test equipment
  • Proficiency with DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators
  • Understanding of computer operation and building legacy computers
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills
  • Systematic and logical analysis of problems
  • Documentation and record keeping of findings and solutions
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in electronics or electronic technology from a college or trade school
  • Two years work experience in a Test Technician capacity
Work Environment Manufacturing from raw components to final product is all performed onsite so employees are immersed in all aspects of production. Manufacturing Test Technicians are responsible for keeping all test heads, wire harnesses, and test computer hardware, in complete operational condition and performing preventative maintenance and equipment calibration on designated schedules. Successful candidates apply circuit knowledge and experience to quickly resolve product test failures and equipment faults while maintaining production flow. When Engineering releases new product tests, Manufacturing Test Technicians assist in qualification and implementation.
