SCMXDB

The SCMXDB series of adapters allow the full product offering of Dataforth SCM5B, SCM7B, and 8B SensorLex® modules to be used as a front-end for third Party Data Acquisition Systems. This allows a nearly unlimited selection of mix and match interfaces to a wide range of industrial sensors and signals.

Front-Ending with Dataforth products provides a 1500Vrms channel-to-channel isolation, 1500Vrms input-to-output isolation, up to 240Vrms overload protection, and a high level of sensor input transient protection to systems lacking in these areas. Isolation is essential to eliminating signal degradation caused by conducted or radiated noise and for breaking ground loops. Overload protection ensures valuable DAQ equipment is not damaged by harsh industrial environmental conditions.

This series of adapters connects a standard D-Sub data acquisition I/O interface to Dataforth SCM5B, SCM7B, and 8B SensorLex® backpanels. Options include Differential-Ended I/O to connect to single 16-channel backpanels and Single-Ended I/O to connect to two 16-channel backpanels for 32 channels of I/O. Two additional models provide for transition between an IDC26 connector used on SCM5B backpanels and a DB25 connector used on SCM7B and 8B SensorLex® backpanels. Rugged thermoplastic housings and mounting screws ensure reliable signal connections in harsh environments.
